There was a mention of this in another thread, and it grabbed my
interest so I did some searching.

The snippit (no pun intended) was "... I'll bet no woman ever threw up
in Leonardo DiCaprio's lap, or Emilio Estevez, Nicolas Cage, River
Phoenix, Keanu Reeves, Will Smith, Don Johnson, Luke Perry, Ricky
Martin, or any of the thousands of other famous uncirumcised men."

I don't know about women throwing up in any of their laps or not, but
my searching about their status turned up the following.

Emilio Estevez - circumcised, same as brother and father. Seems prett
credible to me.

River Phoenix - chose to get himself circumcised as a teen, apparently
confirmed by an autopsy report - gross, but apparently in Ca. autopsies
are public documents.

Kenau Reeves - same as R. Phoenix -- done in his teens by his choice.

The others in the quote, agreed.

Curiously, I found Scott Baio on copies of what seems to be the same
text list on different sites. One has him circumcised and the other
uncircumcised. But I happen to know someone who worked with his dad,
and it's implied that there's no question Scott is among the American
majority and circumcised, as what's reported on yet other web sites.

It would be interesting to find out what proportion of anti-Semites in
the US are very *pro*-circumcision. I speculate that *real*
anti-Semites, Klu-Kluxers, John Birchers, National Fronters and the
rest, are as scalpel-happy as any other red-blooded Americans, maybe
more. But of course they'll cite all the tired old medical reasons,
and the underlying one of making a real (American) man of him.

Until you're willing to take the science explaining the spread of
HIV seriously, I suggest you shut your pie hole.

There is no doubt that universal penectomy would almost eliminate the
spread of AIDS. Even if circumcision works, partially and in one
direction only as these studies claim, doesn't mean it should be done
to babies. In particular, by making men think they are immune, it
could have a disastrously opposite effect.

The term skin freak is more appropriate now than ever before. Now

gathering information for a book on the skin freak phenomenon (not about
circumcision per se) and would welcome your input as I believe you

Desperate times for skin freaks I see.

The range of shots given to kids is not because there is an immediate
danger of infection by any of the diseases. The shots are given together
with a booster regime (where necessary) to protect the individual for
life regardless of when, where or how they may come into contact with
the applicable disease.

The evidence has been that the younger the age at circumcision the
greater the protective effect from HIV infection.

But yes, I can empathize with how devastating the turn of events has
been for you skin freaks. It was you who could not sleep the night the
news was announced I believe? Sadly more of those in store for you as
long as you continue to play King Canute with the rising tide of
evidence. I almost feel sorry for you skin freaks. So much time, so much
effort, so little reward.

Maybe most of the listings were just wrong. ?? I have seen more sites
that list him as circumcised.

I saw Christian Slater's name on at least 2 sites as circumcised, and
never saw a listing otherwise.

Have never seen Ryan or Mark's info on such a site. I would believe
Eddie Murphy is uncircumcised because of his age and race, and because
he was from a poor area of Long Island, New York. Poor
African-AMERICANS 60 years ago were not known for circumcision,
compared with today where most AA's are middle class, better educated
and therefore more circumcised.

Some say a majority of AA's are circumcised but I have never seen
"proof" of whether this would be true or not, although I'm not the most
well traveled person.
